WHY?
Do you have kids? No room for a DVD player your looking into a portable jungle gym?
Does you hatch squeak that much that you have to reinforce the body structure with a bar?
I don't get it.
Then again, I own a sedan.

To answer you questions:
1. No i dont have kids and if i did it wouldnt matter. It's a CRX. no rear seats.
2. I havent bought it yet. just getting opinions
3. My hatch squeals real bad like a little piggy.

I am going to buy the EM Racing bars when I get the cash. I am going with just the pillar bar and strut bar, in the future I might add the triangulated bar. Awesome thing with the EM **** is you can do that because the triangulated mounts are built into the bars
I have never found a crx or hatch that all the squeaks couldnt be fixed.
All mine are and have been quite with a little adjusting and tightening and no bars.
But anyway I would assume these would do wonders for what they are since they tie up so many points on the car.

Your better off buying the rear strut bar, then the whole 3 bar setup. Aren't these expensive also? The whole setup of those bars scare me because what if you get into an accident, bars flying all over the place. And they will buckle if hit to hard.

They are not effective at all....if you really want to waste $ then just waste it my way....
Honestly, they are a crock of bullshit.

Though I too question the effectiveness of the bars I am sick of comments like yours. Have you actually used/seen/ridden in a car with them? Exactly how do you they don't work?
You know parts for my cars are very ******* expensive. I love the fact that we are in the Internet age and can share info on what works and what doesn't. But posts like yours just spread disinformation and lies. In turn people spend their hard earned money on useless crap instead of a great product they should have got. Unless you have PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE do not discredit a part. Please, for the sake of all of us!

looks like a bad copy of the vw neuspeed bars of yesteryear.... in thereo triangulation is a good thing - but how exactly are they mounting those? drilling holes thru the trunk floor and putting a small plate there? that wont do much of anything

That reminds me of the movie "Pretty in Pink" where the guy says. B O O H O O
Dude, seriously, most of us don't need to try something to KNOW how ineffective it is. You really need to take a physics class if you don't get it... What really makes it funny is that you DON'T need to take a physics class to realize that those bars are useless.
"Try to stay with me class, I tend to move fast at times."
Those bars are mounted on pivots.. look closely! They're not exactly welded to the body of the car and therefore their design to begin with is flaw. They will flex along with the flex of the body, if not at the hinges then in the bar themselves.
Look at it this way. For what you want to achieve why not do it right? Why clutter up the rear section of your car for something that is usefull for nothing more than hanging clothes. If you're gonna put any clutter in the car to achive stiffness then get a 4-pt rollbar.
I just had an epiphony (sp?)... I'm in the wrong damn business, I need to go out and sell useless stuff to people who are dumb enough to buy it... It looks like there's a rapidly growning market for that demographic!

your right about them being on piviots but they will still help. granted sold bars will help alot more but they still will make a noticeable diffrence the car will not flex nearly as much as without them.
EDIT, I like the one love2xlr8integra made in the welding forum

Honestly though, how effective is the Autopower rollbars?? First off they are a bolt in affair (granted you could weld them). I'd prefer both, but if i had to choose one or the other, I would rather have the Em Racing strut bars, than a 4 point roll bar. But over all i would rather have a full custom made roll cage. Also you could always bolt in the em racing bars, and then weld up the joints on them also. Lets get creative here.

i noticed a big difference when i put in my autopower 4 point bar with my suspension. it def tightend the chassis a lot! i already ahve a big list of sus. mods but this one what a big difference in feel.
to the top thoe. those bars are alright, i don't like them that much, and make sure u have a 88-89 crx with the pillar mounted seat belts. it looks like thats where they attach too
