88 Honda Accord DX Blue Smoke emits at idle when first starting up
Hello,
I have a 1988 Honda Accord DX with the carburated 4 cylinder engine. Assuming it is a 2.0 SOHC?
When I start it up it emits a ton of blue smoke, and continues to smoke untill it is warmed up, then it only smokes just a small amount. But when I say alot, I mean ALOT of blue smoke.
I was then still driving it like that, and then something happened.
It now hardly idles, very rough, and acceleration is very sluggish now. Still emits the blue smoke, but runs like crap.
What do you think is causing the blue smoke, and what have I done to it now?
Was it leaking a valve, and now I lost a valve and it is time for a new head?
I have not looked into he cause yet but it does still run, just not very good.
Thanks
Trey Carter
