Default Little help in Boston?

It'll be a week ago tomorrow I got my 2000 PY itr and I got up for work this morning to find the hood propped up, missing cylinder head and stripped interior. Actually that's a lie, those generous bastards left the shift ****. I guess if anyone is in the Boston area and could keep an eye open it'd be appreciated. 617-224-2300 with any info would be great. I'm not too optimistic but it's worth a shot.

Also, where would be the best place to get replacement interior stuff like seats, console, etc.? I know there are a lot of places where I could find engine components but advice on that would help too. Thanks a lot.

1. Call Police
2. Call Insurance
3. Your car will be totalled
4. Decide if you want to buy the car back from Insurance Company
5. Start looking for parts if you said yes to 4 above. If you have your car parked in public view, I would just let insurance take the car. It will happen again.

They stripped the car on the spot? Where was this parked? Stripping the head alone would take about two hours. Hopefully they damaged whatever they took so it is useless to them. I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Dude, I think I just walked by your car in Brookline! I work at BU and was walking to the hardware store when I spotted a beautiful Yellow Type R. As I approached I noticed a missing clock.. then a seat.. then two.. I thought to myself, "what a shame" Beautiful example if that's yours. I hope you get it fixed. If you need any help let me know. I own a garage and have some dealer accounts that could help you.

Don't let it go to auction. I'll buy it if you don't want it or want to let insurance take it.

My phone number is 617-630-2039

The truth hurts...

Good luck on the car. And yes if your able to buy it back. part it out on here. there are a lot of people who would buy parts from it.

Sucks to hear that, Alot of the local R's are dropping like flies due to theft
On the bright side at least they didn't get the car and only some of the parts.

BTW Don't you have an Alarm on the car? If not I would definately suggest one, especially living in Boston or the surrounding area. None of that lame Best Buy/Circuit City install crap either, get everything hidden, 2 sirens both out of plain view, hood pin, backup battery etc.

Goodluck

Yeah, i have an alarm on there but those douches disconnected the siren... once I get it back up and running I'll have to invest in every security measure known to man.

looks like i will be checking my car out every 5minutes from now on whenever i park in front of warran tower @ BU.
I'm sorry for your loss but similar **** happened to me last thanks giving @ 3.am
i'm lucky that police busted those 5 ******** and not much of parts were stolen, but due to retarded insurance company and having hard time getting parts in and stuff, it set in the bodyshop till beginning of july 2004.
now my car is armed with 3 sirens/battery, 3pizo sirens(pain generator) in the car, shock/tilt/glass sensors in the car and i'm getting proxy sensor and range extender installed tomorrow.
maybe i should add hoodlock and relocate my hoodcable and install blank cable in original location w/ razor blades too........

i hope you put your car back together soon enough before winter comes so you can enjoy it a little before next summer.

****** theives need to go to hell and get their bodyparts stolen so they'll know how we feel!!!

You asked for a place to get your parts....here you go:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=700980

Keep the car, don't sell it or part it out. That would be a waste to you. Take this as a very lucky (IMO) learning experience. Consider yourself VERY fortunate. Allot of these guys in the past two weeks who got jacked haven't even recovered their cars. Still missing. Take better preventative measures in the future. Good luck.
