ef/ed which is which?

sorry for the nubness just wanted to know what is the diferenc between the ef and ed. ijust want to be sure of the cars ppl r talkin bout.
EF refers to the chassis codes offered in Japan and stuff.
ED refers to the chassis codes offered in the US and stuff.
People interchaged them so much that EF is commony used in reference to USDM and JDM CRXs and Civics from the 88~91 circa.

Yea, however, some people will start bitching at you if you call your car an EF when it was not made in Japan.
