Thanks to all of you I found another Tranny for my 1990 CRX HF model!!!

The one I have has the # SL3-5029106 on it.
I want to Verify that this is the correct one and the correct original gearing for an HF model car.

(I want to keep the gearing stock)...

So my question is, how do I verify that I've got the right one before I install it?

There should be a stamp in the casting just above the oil fill plug. What does it say?

 

i have a bone stock 88 hf and thats the code my tranny is and i bought my car off of a old guy who is the original owner. i doubt he did a swap

 

I'll check for that number by the fill plug..

my stock 90 hf five speed trans # is L3-2171528. Hope this helps
