Default alignment Q's after lowering car

I've done some research, and it seems about 50/50 on getting an alignment done right after you lower your car. Here's a question for those who say to wait:

Is driving 200 miles without an alignment too far?

Here's the deal. Soon I'll be getting HR springs and AGXs. I have a relative, who is a Honda certified mechanic, who is willing to install everything for free. The problem is with the alignment. I would have to go to his house, 200 miles away, on a weekend. The only alignment shop open on Saturdays is Sears. I don't know if he can get everything done in time to take it over there.

The other option is to drive back home, and drop my car at a shop durring the week and bum rides to work.

so...

Is driving 200 miles without an alignment too far?

I almost understood wait you wrote.

I understand that I probably won't ruin my car if I drive it without an alignment. I just don't want to fight the steering wheel for 200 miles on the freeway.

if you're fighting your steering wheel after you lowered your car then you got some serious problems. You'll be fine. Shoot some people don't even get alignments and you see them driving around

I've put about 300-400 miles on my car (96 integra) without an alignment since I did the suspension swap, and before that I drove it with messed up alignment for like 1000 miles.

But it all depends on your tire wear, I have tires on there that I don't care about right now, so it doesn't matter.

Actually, I did some adjusting on it over the weekend while changing the steering boots, and it drives pretty straight now, but not perfect.

You'll be fine driving 200 miles before an alignment. But please dont get lazy like me and NOT get an alignment and have to deal with camber issues.

It wont hurt at all, plus it will allow the suspension to settle in.

YOU ARE GOING TO NEED A CAMBER KIT, THE AVERAGE SHOP WILL TURN YOU AWAY IF YOUR SUSPENSION IS MODIFIED.

Turn you caps off, and where the hell do you go that they turn you away?

because if they can't get it within factory specifications, they don't want anything to do with it. Same reason Les Schwab won't mess with your car if you have less than 2/32's tread.

It's not camber that ruins tires...it's toe. I've been running 1.7 degrees front and .5 degrees rear camber as long as I can remember, and the inside wears only SLIGHTLY faster than the front
