Default Questions about my 1990 Civic Si

1. Why does it have drums in the rear?
2. Is my motor a b16a6?
3. Does it make a difference if it was made in canada?

Thanks people!

1. Because that's what honda put on it
2. How would we know, check the motor.
3. A difference as opposed to what?

Now my questions for you:
1. Why did you not search first?
2. Since you didn't search, why didn't you at least put this in the CRX/EF forum?
3. Are you retarted?

1.To help it stop
2.Take a look and find out for yourself
3.Yes, it's not cool unless it's JDM!

Search next time and you won't get such smartass remarks!

1. I did a search this is Honda-tech right?
2. First time on the site, forgive my poor post placement.
3. No, but obviously you're not that bright because you can't spell.

Any one else who would like to help and not ridicule I'd appreciate feedback.

Listen guys and gals and little richards the motor is original.

Please go post somewhere else if you want to be funny, I could always find another site. Don't be such jackasses, you can't possibly be jealous of me already

ok ok, truce. Lets see:

1. Probably because it was cheaper for Honda to mass produce drums, I think only certain trim levels had discs, if EF's even had them stock at all. Maybe the Si's had them, I don't know though. You can do a conversion though, if you wish to have discs.
2. There's a stamp on your motor block that says what engine it is, but I don't think there was a stock B16 in the EF's other than the JDM SiR's. Now do you mean B16A1/2/3? I've never heard of a B16A6, do you mean D16A6?
3. Again, I don't know what specific differences you're wondering about, but generally they're about the same.

ok truce I was trying to be funny, really I was. My bronx slang gets the best of me sometimes. We'll leave grammar check out of any further posts

So like I was posting, I was wondering if because it came from canada if the Si model might be different.
You have to understand my situation, I use to have a JDM integra 95' Ls, I mean it was my baby till a van with a stupid crash bar almost killed me and totaled the car, I 've went through two crappy VW's, a scirocco and a cabriolet, I found this Si down near Atlantic City,Nj. So I'm new to the civic scene apart from what I read.
But thanks for answering my questions. Oh I did research before I got here, and
108 HP@6200
100 LB@5000
does that sound right?

I've reached my 5 post limit, thanks for the bickering

well even though you hurt my feelings and made me cry by calling me a JERK in your other thread, I'll believe that you were just trying to be funny.

Until we know for sure what motor is in your car, it's hard to confirm those numbers.

if its a 1990 hatch back they didnt come with rear disc breaks, and it shoul be a d16 a6, thats the standard si motor for 90-91 si hatch backs and the crx's in the us, i dont know about the hp but i have a 91 crx si and the stock motor is but slow. get a swap.

Thanks for all the responses guys and gals, I found out is a D16A6, now here is another question, my rear bumber on the left hand side is loose (hanging about an inch - inch1/2) , apparently this jersey shore car is a bit rusty any quick solutions would help, no body shops though in case you jokers were thinking that already
