like the title says , I have a strange scenario to say the least.

92 Accord LX wont start when D4 light is flashing , key in on position , all connectors/pins checked , sometimes it starts but never when the D4 light is flashing....

anybody run into this strangeness before ?

Yes I Have,
I have a 92 accord lx wagon and it does the same thing usually when its hot as ***** and I cant stand sitting in the car to try and start it... it wants to flash the lil D4 and not start it’ll crank all day but start no damn way leave it alone for 5 - 10 min and it will start very strange...

 

seems as though I have a bad TCU.

 

Replace the Main Relay.

I dont throw parts at a car to fix it.

this code has nothing to do with Main relay , besides you can hear the pump kick on with the key everytime.

so when your main FI relay went bad your TCU flashed D4 , yeah sure.

same symptoms , different problem.
