Default How to clean my brakes......?

I just recently put some wheels on my car. My brakes have been hideing behind steelies for years and they look like crap. Can I just brake cleaner on them if I leave the wheels on or will the brake cleaner take the paint off my wheels. I would take them off but I don't have a torque wrench to tighten them back on correctly, thanks.

Go ahead and buy up a torque wrench, you'll be using it a ton.

that's what I am worried about, i want to make sure that if I use the brake cleaner on my brakes that my wheels won't get all messed up. They are rota circuit 8's, I don't think they are painted though.

Just last week i claned mine off. I used a wire brush and a wire ball thing that connected onto the end of a drill. I got most of the stuff off and then i just used dupli color black paint to paint the calipers and drums. I personally think it looks awesome and it's not too flashy.

If you want a bling look then do this....

Ok guys, I just cleaned my brakes today with the brake cleaner and wire brush. There was no damage at all to the wheels and the brakes came out super clean. Damn, it looks so good, I want to do a brake upgrade and rear brake conversion Maybe gsr all around, what do you think?
