can you fit a Honda accord vtec engine into a crx?
my wifes honda got smashed today nad not worth putting so much money to it. shes got a 96 ex model which contains a vtec engine and its automatic tranny. can both fit into my DX 1990 crx? is it worth it? I live in Miami FL how much is labor for this?
not worth it...it would be much more cost effective to just stick a Prelude (H22) motor or even a B motor in there.
Defiantly not worth it. Thats a big motor that doesn't make much power. You would not be satisfied with the results.
:EDIT: the only Accord motor that would be worth putting in there would be a F20B. via Accord SiR. or Euro R H22. nothing domestic.

I think I remember reading that the F-series bolts up to the H-series tranny.
If that's right, he could use one of the H motor to B tranny adaptor plates and run a B series cable tranny.
Does the F motor have the same mount locations as the H motors?
If it does, then just do the same swap described in the H motor/B tranny post.

I'll give you $5 for it if you get it for $1.
That's 500% turn-over.
More business like that and you'll be rich in no time!

Bisi's all motor crx.
Bisi's all motor crx.
i think it would be worth it if you got the motor for free. they have high torque. i think you could use the h motor mounts. i sold a f23a1 to a guy in flordia. he was turboing it. he has done this before and got about 350 to the wheels on a custom turbo stock internals.
