brake conversion
when doing a break conversion from stock dx (00ek hatch) to (gsr full suspension front disc, rear disc, prop, mc, bb, ect.) what prop vaulve do i use. The stock unit has 6 lines and the stock gsr only has 4. I believe this is because of the abs unit. Now can i use the stock unit that is in my car already. or do i need to switch it out. What unit can i get that will work? 99-00 si?
you cant use an integra prop valve on an EK. Also theres been some discussion here about EK hatch prop valves being the same as the 99-00 Si ones. you will be fine with your current prop valve

well, they have different codes on them...whether the internals are different who knows. you can use the integra one if you want to run custom brake lines, otherwise they wont match up and bending them will be a mess. i just swapped out ALL of the components and braking is 100x better</TD></TR></TABLE>
true, you can install a teg prop valve in an ek but its a pain, as for the 99-00 Si prop valves being different from 96-00 civic 3dr heres something to look at:
2000 Civic Si 46210-S04-902 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING
2000 Civic Dx 3dr 46210-S04-902 VALVE ASSY., PROPORTIONING
i got the numbers from here: http://www.slhondaparts.com/

[QUOTE=EeeJaySixxx]if you want the brakes to perform up to their potential you will need a 99-00 Si Master Cylinder, Booster, and Prop Valve. I have all of these so PM if youre interested.[QUOTE]
Or from a 99-2000 EX, They are the same part numbers as the SI Master Cylinder and Booster.
