Anyone weighed their RSX-S (RSX Weight)?
I know what the brochure says, but I'm curious to see if anyone has actually ran the car up on the scales ot get the real weight.
If so, list what modifications you had at the time.
Edit: Changed title for future searches.

Recycling centers have scales, but they are not often calibrated, as they are just used for before-and-after comparison.
The right way to do it is on cornerweighting scales at an alignment shop.
Todd00, Jeramy Kindle might have some answers for you. Though he is getting rid of his DC5, he has extensively developed and tested it for drag racing and some autocross/roadracing....you might be albe to get some quality parts he has left over.

Those are not always the most accurate, but it will give a general idea of the weight.
At times you will be able to find a scale at some drag strips, or road courses....and some alignment shops ...etc

cliffs note; the weight given by Acura is correct
I didnt choose to get rid of it....it got stolen, but nonetheless, I can give some insight
Weight changing items;
CAI replaced stock airbox (~-5)
Rotas repalced stock wheels(-3/each)
Azenis replaced stock tires (+~1 each)(but as tread goes down evens out and lightens)
other than that, it was all about the same; I did not take out anything weird, etc
Normal weight was 2850-2880 at the track (accurate within ~5 pounds)
If I removed front seat, back seats, floormats, spare/sub I would weigh exactly 2750
this was all with less than 1/4 tank of gas

Get an exhaust, header, and a lighter intake, and some lighter wheels. It will decrease plenty.
Stock weight on my car is 2660, but it weighed in at the track at 2540 lbs, with more than half a tank of gas, and a full interior, spare .....etc

I'd have to say that's pretty accurate, as I've weighed mine on 3 different scales and it's been right around 2700 everytime. But I've got a CAI(no washer bottle saved about 10lbs), Comptech RH(I think 12lbs), and VIS CF hood(15lbs). So yeah, 2750 should be right for a stock car.

where do you live? try locating the truck stops i have listed via internet.
any truck stop featuring CAT scales. look for TA, Pilot, Petro. flying J is a good one too. they have thier own scales, and they are calibrated to the T. they have to be, they back up any ticket in court. "you weigh what we say, or you don't pay". these places guarantee thier weights.
