Default New Toy - DPS & Mugen

Hi guys,

Just got this off Yahoo auction last night. It is a system that suppose to help improve torque by making sure the engine is getting enough electric power in demanding times, and this model is suppose to be specifically designed for V-Tec cars.

Will let you know how it feels once I install and try it.

Among other things, I noticed a set of ultra-rare Mugen Group A cams (for the ZC)

You should bid on this Mugen Gymkhana header:

Open up the little red box and there is a sticker that says "ha ha ha-thanks for the money sucker!" And you will notice that none of the wires connect to each other. Seriously skeptical about little electric goodies that "improve torque". Hit the dyno and post before and after graphs.

I also guess it will not be very useful.... but I have read some good reviews about it.... so give it a try...

Good news is, by posting this, Shane pointed me to the Mugen 4-2-1 header that I have been dying for

you realize it's probably just a capacitor. That's how it makes sure there is enough electrical power.

So if I were to come up to you and say, "I want to sell you a capacitor to make your car have more torque" would you say sure?

If so, then this *product* is for you.

I installed the toy over the weekend, and I can write a small write-up.

After installing that little gadget, I did some test runs and I believe the rpm is rising smoother than before, especially at the 4000-6000 range... but cannot really tell if there is more power coming out at high RPM.....

BUT, I got another toy from Yahoo auction last night:

Mugen 4-2-1 Header

There a couple for the AE86, but no 9680 MDI for Honda at the moment...

Someone is selling an Amuse R1 Titan for the DC2 though:
