New vs Used JDM Conversions
Which would you guys choose? If I could get a used one for $1700 + shipping and a new one for $2100 + shipping? Used ones will need to be sanded down and then painted while new ones just need a paint job... right? Is that extra $400 worth spending to buy a new conversion kit?
$1700?! Damn, ebay has them going for about 1300. Go check! OEM ones too. And the last time I checked, the new ones weren't going for only $2100, I think they go for close to 3 grand.
The thing with ebay is that... they are shipping from foreign countries and shipping takes long, it costs ~$500 to get to the nearest port, and then there are more shipping costs to get to your home... The person selling me the used kit for $1700 said he can get it to me for $1950 shipped.

used and new is the same ****, my boy that did a JDM front with me got his from IPS for some insane amount of money brand new. Screw it, the money painting it would never exceed the difference in cost new vs. used.

actually both old and new will need to be sanded down, prime and painted. if you don't sand it and just paint it, the paint will chip later on. an old one if in good condition is a better deal cause it will come with some extra stuff needed, (bulbs, sockets, bolts, plug connectors for the electrical,...
if packaged right it should not get damaged during shipping, and if it does and you went with a reputable company or person then they should take care of it. and you have nothing to wory about
