Default Good price for a H22 swap?

I was quoted 4k for a complete h22 swap including an auto to manual tranny conversion complete. Is this a good price??

is the person doing the conversion also selling you the motor ?? my friend payed like 500 i think to do the conversion to manual in a 98 civic. we payed 1100 for an h23/vtec. seems like they usually go for like 2000 on websites.once you actually start to break it down i gues it wouldnt seem to bad. We did our own wiring and install so i dont know. not to bad

Only thing you will lose is your cruise control because of the prelude throttle body. Other than that it's exactly like the accord engine but nothing like it all at the same time http://www.HMOTORSONLINE.com is the best website for the swap that i hear plus thats where i got my H22 and love it. Fast shipping $1950 + shipping and your set. I would opt for the LSD tho, which is another $300. Its all up to you mang!

it will be $2k instead of $1950 if you get the downpipe as well, also, you dont have to lose your cruise control, i got my ps, ac, and cruise in my 93 accord, and $4k is about average for a engine and auto to manual swap, auto to manual swap is around $2k alone in CA including tranny, add another $1200 or so for the h22 longblock + ecu that leaves $800 to install the engine/wiring, so $4k isnt too high of a price, it isnt very low of a price either

Yeah, I just can't figure out if it worth doing the swap when I could put 4k towards a new ride. What are your thoughts? Is there anything else worth buying that would be comparable to a h22 accord?
