Toda or Jun?????
Hey everybody. i am currently facing a fork in the road in my engine build up. Can't decide on what kind of cylinder head setup to go with. Toda setup with Spec C cams, valve springs, retainers, and valves. OR Goin with the JUN setup, OR goin Crower valve springs, retainers, and valves with CTR cams. What ever i choose this will be goin on a LS block fitted CTR pistons. i Need your help guys.
If you have the money, go TODA, hands down. Don't go with spec-C though. the spec-C cams are not recommended for street driving. I emailed TODA with some questions a while back, that's how I know. Put it this way: even the spec-A cams make 15 more horsepower than Type-R cams at top end, and 10 horsepower more than Type-R cams at the midrange. The spec-B cams will be plenty for a street car.
Your probably right about the Spec C cams. I'll probably just tear some stuff up. I haven't really decided on what i want yet. I'll consider Spec B. thanks for some input.
You also need to think about valve to piston contact issues with that set up and the useable power range. You cant rev a ls bottom like a vtec bottom, which you will need to do with toda b,c cams. I would look into toda A or skunk cams with your set up.

i've thought about the valve to piston clearance. thanks for asking. Like i said i havent really decided on what i want to go with. i'm just keeping my options open for the moment and what's the problem with revving an LS bottomend.
