about two days ago my crx shut off at an idle at a light and took like 3 times until it started again. it seemed like everything was fine after that. then today i was turning onto a street in third gear and my rpms dropped to next to nothing. i gave it full gas but no response. it coasted until the motor just shut off and wouldnt start again like last time. it would act like it was trying to start but just wouldn't. i pulled a plug wire and used a screwdriver to see if it would spark off. but it didn't when i had someone try starting it.

would this be a distributor problem or possibly a fuel problem. any suggestions???

 

take off the distributor cap and see if the rotor came off of the dizzy. mine just reciently did this... the little screw came out.

 

Yea i had that same problem once. that dang screw would not stay in...after it came out the first time...it happened like 2 or 3 more..then i just put blue locktite on it....and never had a prob since.

 

i took off the cap and there was red rust and on the bottom, where i am guessing was the ground wire, the screw was out and that wire wasn't connected. i noticed this after i took it off. i am in the process of putting a new one on now.
