Default On the right path?

I cracked a ring on my stock bottom end of my GSR.

I already have Skunk2 IM. Skunk 2 cam gears, skunk2 stage 1 cams. ITR valves, ITR inner and outer valvesprings in my gsr head. Not to mention the normal I/H/E.

I was thinking of raising my compression, I would love suggestions on what pistons i should use. Im going to just run OS. was looking for about 11 or 11.5:1 compression. ITR pistons seem like a safe route.

I probably will trade my stage 1 cams for some stage 2's. and get some stronger valve springs while im at it. Ill be getting Hondata. Please let me know if I am missing anything or just what you think would be good.

If you're getting Hondata, go for the CTR's.

P73-00's are also good. I have P73-A0's, and wish I'd gone a bit more hardcore.
Hell, even P30's...

JDM ITR pistons would give you 11:0 to 1 compresion with a stock Pr-3 head. With your GSR chambers it will probably be 11.3-11.4 to 1.

jdm R pistons, there high quality moly coated and a more friendly 11.4 cr

ctr's in a gsr motor will be in the neighborhood of 12.7:1... dont go by the online CR calculators

mid 11's is nice for the street and it puts you right in the efficiency range you want to be in for stage 2 cams... running over 12 isnt gonna make you any more power and its just gonna beat the engine up more and make tuning that much harder

i would go with b16 p30 pistons. since those boast a 10.4:1 compression in a b16, you are looking at about an 11.3-11.5:1 compression ratio in a gsr motor. with skunk2 stage 2 cams, youll probably see the most power gains considering you are in the prime compression ratio for stage 2's. like you said, youll need to upgrade your valvetrain.

ctr's would be to high. i wouldnt run 12.5:1 compression on the street; you would need at least stage 3's or you would be undercammed.
