which aftermarket gauges really help?
My 1992 prelude si just recently over heated, and when I checked the oil level it was pretty low I had just replaced the pressure sending unit for the "low oil light" so that wasn't the problem also the temp gauge seemed a little slow to react to the engine's rising temperature. So I figured an aftermarket temperature gauge and oil pressure gauge would help me keep an eye on my car's condition (if I ever get it back from repair) I was wondering how difficult they are to install and if there are any other gauges the actually help you know whats going on with the engine. Also can someone post some pics of how they have monted the gauges in their car, I was thinking the dash (on a 4th gen) kinda between the speedo and gas gauges, would be a good spot.
I think the two you mentioned are good for a stock engine. You can never have enough guages in my opinion. I have 5 guages and a big tach/shift light. Oil pressure, oil temp, boost, air/fuel, and voltage. Soon to add a EGT.
