ok my car is wired up for it, now do i need to wire the distributor for it, or do i just buy the msd cap with the extra plug, and pop it on...

 

what exactly are you trying to do??? do you mean to add a external coil????

 

i have an external coil and such already in the car(came with it) everything is ready and such to go and be put to use, except i dont have the distributor for it he said, but do i need to just buy the cap with the extra plug for the external coil or do i have to mesh with the distributor as well...

 

What kind of motor and dist. do you have? So your trying to hook it up with a external coil, but you dont have the modified dist cap? is that right?

 

it cant be ready to go if you dont have the external coil wired, you need to take the ecoil out of your distributor then wire it to your msd you can modify your stock cap with the tower but it would probably be easier to just buy one.

 

You can make your stock cap work. I have a pic somewhere from MSD about how to make your stock cap into a modified one....

 

yup,you dont need an external coil,just wire it too the honda coil under the stock cap,youll have to drill a little hole either in distributor or cap and run msd wires thru it too the + and - on the honda coil

 

I have an MSD external cap for 88-91 civic/crx that I used maybe a month and decided to take it out, cause i got a whole new setup. Its in great shape and works perfectly.
