just picked up my engine and was wondering if anyone knew of a comprehensible book on it, a useful source for taking apart and reassembling and stuff like that. I've heard of Helms shop manuals, would that be the best buy?

 

yeah i would say thats one of the best honda book out there.
it works great, and it really get into details. Lots of shops use them for build ups and specs.
