I've had several models and years of accords and it seems that they always seem to develop rust in the same spot.......Under the gas cap and in the same spot on the other side of the car..

i had a bubble at the spot where the back bumper cover wraps arounds... right below the gas door. not the otherside though... dunno why they seem to rust there.

 

the rear bumpers "catch" water and keep it there... and then rusts the hell outta that area. accords are known to do that mine has none tho of course mines all dented up to hell on the passenger side so who the hell cares?

 

true dat---pull the black rubber trim out of the wheel wells. thats what helps trap the water between the bumper cover and quarter panel area
