Mounting Z6 Block onto Engine Stand??
Hey can any one out there tell me what size bolts are used to bolt up the tranny to the engine block? I havent pulled my engine out of the car yet and dont know or want to guess at the size bolts to use in fear that I will strip/bugger up the threads with a wrong match up. I can tell the upper bolts closer to the head have a 17mm hex head and the other one is the lower bolt to mount the starter and I'm not sure what the hex head size is on that one. I need a helms!!! Help if ya can!
Unfortunately i dont have another set of tranny bolts other wise this wouldnt be a big deal. But I dont have a engine hoist of my own to pull the tranny and engine block out. I am going to rebuild my Z6 first then once it is done i will rent a engine hoist and pull the tranny and block out of the civic and drop the new engine in so the tranny bolts are still in use right now.
Solved the Problem. Went back to salvage yard and picked up the bolts they took out of the Engine. Get this the honda dealer by me didnt have them in stock and was gonna take a week to get them...
That was my first instinct. Lowe's, Home Depot, Auto Zone....etc. no one carries a 12m X 1.25 Asian Metric bolt. Except you know who .... the dealer....

Yeah, Asian Metric, that is what the bolt sizing chart at autozone listed the thread pattern as "Asian" 1.25. Hmm, my Lowes didnt have the right thread size. I guess your Lowes doesnt Blowes.
