1. Your posting in an EF forum (88-91)
2. Search
3. Since i was once a n00b, an lsd is:

Limited Slip Differential.
On a transmisson with no lsd, both wheels will start off to spin, but one wheel will stop while the other one keeps spinning. not gonna get as good as traction with non lsd as u would with lsd. with the lsd both wheels spin at the same rate and both stay spinning. it also helps keep the tread wear balanced if u like to burn out a lot. somebody correct me if im wrong?

you forgot to mention that some lsd's in some types of cars will make them handle a bit worse.

i thought someone would have posted this before i got to......

its a chemical devived from the morning glory seed that causes a "trip", it was famous in the 60s.

Yeah an unlimited differential is what most cars come with stock, if you look at the burn out marks of a car with out and LSD the tire on one side will spin before the other, and on an LSD they should spin at almost the same time. It is a nice compromise between a posie-traction (i think thats it, has no slip at all, used on drag cars) and stock unlimited-slip
