Are you tired of the bullshit ITR SIGHTING POSTS that seems to be on here every week. I sure am, I see one every ******* morning on my way to work in my garage. I think that these posts should be deleted, its just pointless.

there should be a warning about posting such posts on the top of the ITR forum (like they do in the AM Forum)

It dosen't bother me either. Why is an itr sighting post any different than "what mod should I do first" or "which intake is better"? Sure there are a lot of them but if you don't want to read/reply to them, then don't?

BTW, I almost shot coke out my nose when I read the "pee pee in Cheerios" post. I don't care who you are, that's funny.

I have actually made a few friends through similar posts, and was warned of a possible theft attempt on my own R through a similar post. I have no objection to them at all. If I don't feel like reading one, I just don't click it.

Sighting posts don't bother me, either - as long as they say where the sighting was in the title (e.g. ITR SIGHTING IN EVANSTON ILLINOIS). Hey, maybe somebody saw me and wants to chat. That's cool. And if it's a sighting somewhere else (e.g. ITR SIGHTING IN PYONGYANG NORTH KOREA) I'll just skip over it.

 

They are stupid, I agree completely.

Not only that but they tell many people who you wouldnt normally want to know, where your car is located. Not a good thing. If you see one, great, heres a cookie.

 

the one positive thing that comes out of these "itr sighting" threads is that it might be a member's stolen R oneday you see on the road. so, what starts off as something innocent might actually help to bring a stolen one back home

just dont click on the thread, simple as that. i spend a lot of time on H-T, but i dont read every single thread to make life here so miserable that an occasional "sighting"post can upset you so much. just chill

 

They don't bother me at all. They're just posts of people who want to get to know other ITR owners. They're just trying to be friendly. I have had my R been spotted by others on this board, and it was cool to meet them. Just calm down.

Did you put up a sighting post?

I like them as well. I met Shawn (snapspinnr - THSCC guy) by passing him on the road, waving, and then finding his car # on H-A.net back in the day. If you don't like them, don't read them.

 

I like the ITR spottings... Hopefully mine will be spotted one day.
