the oil pick up is different on the B16 and C5

only GSR/ITR oil pan will work with ITR windage tray and oil pick up

OK, so will an ITR/GSR pan fit a B16A?

actually the pans themselves are the same depth, and the pickup is similar. The only difference is that the GSR/ITR pan has another step stamped into it for the block girdle. The b16 has no girdle, thus no need for the extra step.

The b16 oilpan will NOT work on the ITR/GSR as it won't allow for the girdle.
The b18c oil pan will work on the b16, I used one myself for a while.

hope that helps.

Just buy one of these the are the shnit...especially if your going turbo or useing a oil temp or oil pressure gauge. I put one on my B18C-R (shown) plus its got a 5quart copacity with the kick out good for cirlce, road, drag, daily driving. cant go wrong

No worries MrHeelToe.
I'm just glad I could use some of this info stuck in my head.

wantboost, *if* I remember right, the LS oil pan is the same as the b16. It's been a while since I've worked on an LS bottom end though. If it helps, I know the LS oil pan fits a B20.

SynerGracing, that's a sweet oil pan, but they're pricey as hell. The baffle system on an oem pan is awesome, but the Moroso with larger capacity makes for a great track piece.

I must agree. I was "bitch slapping" someone through the twisties and my VTEC bitch slapped me cause of a drop in oil pressure from all the oil hanging out on one side of the oil pan.

the kick out on the oil pan which allows you to hold 1.7 more quarts of oil....soooo when you turn realy fast (g-pad, skid pad, parking lot what ever you may call it) you dont starve your engine of needed oil...causeing vtec problems and added wear and tear.

I do speaketh in riddles...the sound of one hand clapping vtec....sounds exactly like me spanking your asseth on the tracketh. (thats a joke...dont go and get all defensive on me)
