Default Ditching Rockford amps for Audiobahn??

I'm currently running a RF 800.2 to a Kicker L7 15 and a RF 360.2 to a set of RF 3 way 6x9's. I"m thinking of ditching these amps for either a Audibahn A2301X(70x20) or A2401X(100x2) to run the 6x9's. And a Audiobahn A1300HCX which is 1200x1 @ 1ohm. BTW my sub is a 2ohm dual voice coil. Do you guys think Audiobahn is comparable to Rockford Equipment?

I personally wouldn't touch audiobahn. If you want power...which you need for that sub, change over to kicker zr amps. Get a ZR1000 for the L7 and a ZR360 for the comps.

Unless your going to get the HCX series i would not buy audiobahn. They make good subs, not amps. I'm going to agree with MugenSi, go with Kicker you'll like the sound a whole lot more.

Get a class D amp so you don't put that much strain on your electrical system.

JBL BP.1200, Memphis 1500D, MTX 81000D, MTX 1000D, RF bd1000.1, Rf bd1500.1.....

These are all awesome amps......

I"m sure I'll get flamed for this, but part of the reason I was thinking of changing is because the chrome audiobahn amps look so damn cool. I'm really trying to make my setup in my trunk dazzle people. So I guess what I'm really trying to say is, will I be sorry if I swith from my RF amps to audiobahn just becuase they are more flashy looking? Also, the audiobahn amps are around the same price as I could sell my amps for. I really do like the kicker ZR1000 and ZR360 idea but they are a decent amount more!!

I was just checking out the rockford bd1000.1 on ebay. They aren't much more than I paid for my 800.2 so maybe I'll switch? Will I be able to run my 2ohm dual voice coil sub w/ this amp, because I think it's 1000x1 @ 2ohms?

If you want the crome outside you'd have to go with the Class D series. I've seen some very nice custom amp racks in civic'c w/ audiobahn amps. Looks clean as hell. The A18001D put out 1200x1 @ 2ohms, thats quite a bit of power though, what kind of subs do you have?

I have a kicker l7 15'. The only thing is, it's a dual voice coil 2 ohm sub, so how could I run a 1 channel amp to it to get 2ohms?

I'm very partial to the Rockford Fosgate line. I would stick with them. The sound quality is awesome, they create a ton of power, and they're a respected brand. I have never had problems with the RF stuff I have owned.

audiobahn is ENTRY LEVEL product. i've used it in a handfull of cars and am not impressed. the stuff was designed to be cosmetically pleasing. i am also not an RF fan, but i would use RF over audiobahn any day.

go with the kicker amps, you will love them. we use kicker or phoenix gold in all of our competition vehicles. if you are willing to wait, kicker is releasing all new product at the beginning of the year. we might ever see some of it before christmas.
