Hey guys n gals... I'm new to the forum since I just purchased my first teggie. heres the thing... the guy who owned it before me never took care of it, and according to my mechanic it was in a severe accident to the point where my rear end is a '91 and my front end is a '93. some problems it has are bad mounts, inoperative condenser fan, and my cooling fan is rigged to run constantly. Ive fixed most of the other problems it had like the electrical system cuz my tail lights would short out my fuse and they wouldnt work. Also, all of my hoses r original so they got to go. my timing belt is due for a change and my alternator belt needs to be replaced also. The mechanics of the car r dirty which is why my teggie isnt performing well, so im cleaning it out. It also has some other problems that needs to be worked on... but im in the process of restoring and reviving it. If anyone can offer suggestions or opinions reply back whenever, im open to all ideas.

 

i wouldnt have bought it. that doesnt really help you though. i would start off with a tune up see how it runs but then later you might need to rebuild it depending on the condition
