Timing belt gave out

Timing belt gave out
Guess what?
While being a DD my timing belt broke and i kissed many valves.
The car has been down for 2 months and is almost finished. 2 months you say D@#n you suck, hear me out i am swapping the manual tranny in the auto(slushbox) and am wondering about the Speedometer. Is there a way to cut and splice the manual's speed sensor for the automatics and have is work properly. OHH and the i/h/e/stage 2 clutch will make the car scream and yes i learned my lesson, though expensive as it may be. Thanks in advance for the posts any are appreciated.

you need a vss for a five speed accord or prelude.
i had the one from my auto just jammed in there, (the bolt doesnt line up) and every time i would hit vtec it would pop out, and no more vtec or speedo
