WRX and CB7 get all wet and detailed OMGHI2U1!!!
Today me and my buddy Jake washed/clayed/polished/waxed our rides. It took about 4-5 hours for both cars total. Beer and smoke breaks of course
. SCROLL down for some really cool shots...at least I thought so
Products used:
Meguiars #16 wax
Meguiars polish
Meguiars clay bar (highly recommend)
Diaper cloths
LOTS of elbow grease
Before: WRX

Clean paint but no depth
After WRX:

Before CB7:

(nice paint chips
)

Overall not too shabby but I decided to do mine again because MOthers clay bar sucks and I only waxed...no polish.
I was AMAZED!
After CB7:

Other cool shots:

Hmm I myself think Mother's clay bar is the best. The Meguiar's I tried was too hard, very tough to knead, and the Clay Magic bar I tried was way too sticky, it stuck to my fingers all the time.

I've been using Mother's and it sticks to EVERYTHING. I have a hard time storing the clay bar because whatever I put it in, (ziploc bags, wax paper, etc.) it tears it apart when I try to remove it.

Then I must have gotten a shity mothers bar...this meguiars one was a little tough to kneed but it got so much dirt off the paint I was shocked.
I also tried some of that meguiars plastic cleaner/polish and it worked pretty damn good on my worn headlights

i use the blackfire clay bar...its the ****, i think its better than the mothers bar, but i prefer the mothers bar to the meguiars bar. i just did my stepdad's TT last night, i did clay bar, 3M imperial hand glaze, Blackfire polish, Klasse sealant glaze, Blitz caranuba wax and then sealed it in with the Meguiars NXT wax. it looked like a mirror.

Yea already added to my "to do list"
But I think the polish is the key in the detailing process...last time all I did was clay and wax
I noticed a hell of a lot better results this go round. Now the question remains how long will this last?
I had nxt and after 3-4 months there was no shine
