Honestly, I'd be more worried about how it takes the stress of hard turning than going fast straight...but yeah, I'd like to know too about poly bushings...are they really that much of an upgrade?

yeah they are the bomb...made a huge difference in responsivness of my crx. Just think those poly bushings dont really flex at all they are solid. If every rubber bushing on your suspension gives 3-4mm you've got some sway on your hands.
Just remember that you will feel every pebble in the road...and hear it bang your car as well.
go for it.

Am I also being told correctly that changing to aftermarket bushings they won't be "as solid" as the oem rubber....meaning they aren't "vulcanized" into the mount??
you know, its not like poly doesnt deflect any at all. its actually pretty soft compared to metal. its just designed so that it doesnt allow the middle bone to move freely at all, except rotate. whereas the stock rubber does, which is something to consider when you think that thats how the honda suspension engineers DESIGNED it to be....
heres a comparison of a 700lb load on a suspension bushing with poly.
no load.

700lbs = 1/8" deflection

I agree poly isn't as hard as metal but is that really the arguement here?! Caman guys just take a look at the stock bushings...i remember when removing mine how easy it was to stick a screwdriver in the sleeve and push it around.

What an ironic statement.
I belive Tyson's point was that most of the poly bushings on the market differ from OEM in both material and design, and the differences in design are a function of cost rather than performance. The articulation of the rear trailing arm doesn't lend itself well to fixation. If it did, we could just replace it with a steel bearing.
