Default DIY Painting

I got a used front left fender from the wrekers because mine became too rusted to repair. right now the fender I bought is red, my car is black. The fender has minor rust damage that can be easily repared with a bit of bondo. My question is can somone give me some advice as how to get that fender looking as close to my car as possible, as in painting instruction thanks ahead for advice

PS. I did a search didn't get what I was looking for

House of Kolor offers an 8 hour course for like $25 that will teach you more than enough to do any DIY painting. Or just go to a local car painting supplier and ask for their advice, thats what I did. - Darrell

I'm not a professional painter or anything, but the correct primer and color code are most important. You can pay a crazy amount of money to get it painted, but what good is it, if it the wrong color? If that is the only part you need painted, maybe a local shop can do you a favor or give you a good deal.
