Anyone on here "modified" their JDM ITR CAT for 2nd o2?
Just wondering if anyone on here modified a JDM ITR CAT for use with 2.5' JDM exhaust to use their 2nd o2 sensor. Did you cut throught the cat heat shield too? Where did you put the o2 bung? Does everything fit snug? Just trying to get some feedback from someone who has done it. Thanks guys!
I'm not sure how many different cats are floating around but the JDM ITR cat that I have has a bung for something (not an O2 sensor though). I'm sure a competent muffler shop can always remove that bung and add a O2 sensor bung there instead.

Your completely wrong
If you remove the heatsheild their is a marked circle exactly where you need to drill fro the secondary o2 sensor...drill it out with a hole saw...then weld the bung in place and insert the o2...i have had mine like this for 5 months now and i am running the USDM ecu w/out any cel or any other rubbing issues that have come up with after market cats

sorry to thread jack but does $150 for a JDM ITR CAT sound like a good price for one used in good condition? I am currently running my JDM ITR Header with out it bolted on to my stock usdm itr cat.
I lined up the JDM ITR exhaust with a USDM GSR exhaust and matched up the secondary O2 bung hole. Since the US cat is longer, the spot for the o2 on the JDM exhaust gets put on the b-pipe.
With the the o2 bung in the identical spot as the US o2, the car DOES throw a CEL.

no it doesn't the secondar o2 whole is in th same exact spot on both th jdm and usdm cats...its on the header side of the cat right were the slope were the starts to get larger...has nothing to do with the length of the cat...

arguing on the internet is like partcipating in the special olympics....
anyhow, what "CEL" do you throw?
do you even know what the 2ndary o2 does?
