Default my new motor come see it-thoughts/opinions welcomed.

well heres a video of my new motor i just put on my eg.
http://www.pegasus.rutgers.edu...9.MOV
i'll give a brief spec on it
gsr motor
ls crank and rods
ported head, and bored out throttle body, and ported gsr manifold.
skunk2 valvetrain and skunk2 stage 2 cams
jdm type r pisons
hacked on stock gsr intake arm to my stock air box off my d15
and a stock b16 header
hondata s200
oh yea type r tranny
driving around open header at the moment.
in that video vtec was not on because of my stupid vss not working. vtec only kicks on once in a while when the vss decides to go nuts.

I'm not sure put I thought you can't use a b16 header on a GSR because of the deck hight.

what basemap are you running with that hondata? Sounds like there is a lot of hesitation between shifts. Can't you disable the VSS with hondata, also?

you need to get rid of that "header" asap.

i was granny shifting maybe thats why. but now you mention it there is a slight hestation between shifts as for the basemap no clue i gaive my set up to wirespeed and he hooked me up with a base map the car deff needs tuning right now idle is rough. i check the plugs its not too rich. its no lean either so its ok for now.
i just finished the swap 3 days ago so im still working some bugs out

What does the actual cc's come to on that setup. Just the same as an LS?

probably, deck height is the same on both blocks. For some reason, I always thought something about that combo didnt work, but I guess it does.

yep 30 somethin cc more over the gsr i dont kno the exact number im gettin old cant rember anything any more. gsr had a 87.5 stroke ls has a 89mm stroke
i was suppost to get a pro fab header from spark racing but sadly it never came 2 weeks aready. i was going to do a dyno with it vs the stock gsr header. sadly it never came so i had to borrow my friends b16 header for now.
i might request my money back and buy a comptech header i saw a few up for sale.

bump back from the dead i have a apexi ws exhaust.
should i change it out? i kno its baffled and has that taper at the flang where it meets the cat because it was designed for the smaller d16 motor.
i think it tapers down to 2inch then back to 2.25
my header is 2.5inch so im pretty sure that taper is killing the flow pretty bad.

i kinda like this exhaust because its so quiet. maybe cut that taper off?

i was thinking about the kteller 2.5 all the way back and mate it to a tanabe hyper medallion 3 inch muffler looks almost like my ws but straight through. any opinions on this?
