Default My car is showing its age.

On Friday night my 94 LS was showing signs of aging. When I'm driving sometimes, the front right wheel starts making a low to sometimes LOUD screeching sound. My brakes are fine though. Even when I brake really hard, there's no screeching sound what so ever. It makes the noise only when the car is in motion or when your turning. CV joints?

Another problem I had that night was my car's temperature started rising way pass normal. Almost to H. So I popped the hood and found it very low on coolant. I filled it up to only half way just to see what happens. Then I drove it around for awhile and it was normal. Later on, the temp went back up. So I checked the coolant and it was almost empty again. First thing that came to my mind was, I'm leaking coolant from somewhere. I looked, but it was dry. Then I decided o check my oil. The dipstick showed me that I had no more than a few hair strands of oil left. That's when I saw it slowly dripping from where my oil pan was. I'm not too sure if it's my oil pan or not, but I can also see oil dripping or some sort of liquid on the upper far left corner. It's below the battery, around that area. Everytime I start up my car now, the MAIN REQ. light starts blinking for about 5 seconds and then stops. Also at times, my coolant gets drained really fast. I have to fill it up every hour almost. I'll go check the fan and radiator.

Main Req light is a dummy light that can be reset under the dash via a button.

The screeching sound could be your pad wear indicators, bearings, or any host of things.

Your coolant and oil problems (you are adding water not pure coolant, right?) sound like a headgasket.

check the fan relay switch. The fan is probably not turning on when you're at idle, when you're driving though, i bet it runs cool. It's probably the switch. IF that is the problem, go ahead and replace it, it's cheap, and while you're at it, flush out the coolant system. I did this to mine when it was overheating and it fixed it, now it barley goes above the C.
