94 accod ex. bone stock. when i first start up the car w/ the ac off there is a short squeal that comes from the ac. if the ac is on when you start itll squeal like crazy. my sis says that when shes brakeing or when shes coasting(automatic) itll squeal...... whats wrong w/ the ac??....i cant really tell you the details cuz ive never driven the car ferther than maby 20 feet past the driveway.

 

are your belts loose? that's the first thing I'd check.

 

belt feels fine. but then again i dont really know what im lookin for.i wouldnt call myself new just young and inexperienced

 

It sounds like either the belt is not resting on the A/C compressor pulley and/or the belts are loose. You should have around 1/10th of an inch play on the alternator belt. If not, tighten it.
