Default trans ?

ok i need a new tranny. asap. i blew mine out of my 90 si. i need to know how many teeth there are on the trans. my trans is the orginal 90 si trans. my motor is out of a 98 civic ex a d16y8. i need to know how many whats the tooth count.. can any one help me out?

is it 21 or 20

i heard the 88 and prior are when they change, but i dont what they changed to

88 19 spline, 200mm clutch disc
89 20 spline, 200mm clutch disc
90+ 20 spline, 212mm clutch disc

thank you. now will 89 work with 90s since the spline is the same, but the clutches are a diffrent size. also anyone know of a good place to get another si trans or have one rebuilt

if you have original 90 transmission, you can use any 89-91 transmission - the 88 had 21 spline input shaft and 89-91 had 20 spline - the spline count is the only thing that matters, as it needs to match the clutch disc splines

yes i do have a orginal 90 si tranny. so the 89 tranny will work fine with my 90 clutch.
