When you turn your steering wheel the humming is most likely coming from your power steering pump. #1) Check your PS fluid. #2.) If PS fluid was not low your pump is most likely shot. Solution = Find someone on here that is willing to sell you there pump.

I have a whistling noise coming from my alternator/belt area...

This is really annoying me and I have not gotten a straight answer anywhere besides "It's probably a bearing in the alternator", which is pretty much a USELESS answer..

Do you think its a tensioner or an alternator? I wish someone had the same problem as me and fixed it so I would know for sure..

could be the autotensioner. I've heard of it making a faint buzzing noise before it goes out. In any case tho if you think it could be the autotensioner you need to replace it immediatly. I would recomment the h23 manual tensioner swap.

autotensionar.. is that apart of the pulleys? also my power steering fluid is quite low, if that could be causing it.
