AFIR, the published 0-60 mph times for a stock USDM R were between 5.9 and 6.2 seconds but that's without searching through old magazines I don't have handy at work.
There's alot more than just a cars 0-60 capability that goes along with published test numbers which is why many of us don't take them too seriously and why decent magazines like Road & Track will list what temperaturee, humidity, weather and track conditions were present when the numbers/tests were performed.
I also remember a "Best Motoring" video that did some shootouts between the 96 R and the 97 R and the 97 was quicker but not by a whole bunch. I'd guess that the few HP difference between the JDM R and USDM version wouldn't play too much if a role but possibly the difference in Final Drives might get the JDM R to 60 a tick quicker.
But again this is all from memory and relative educated guess work. Which might be interesting for conversation but certainly not enough for a debate.

You're getting pretty cocky for n00b who has only been on for a few weeks and has asked his fair share of dumb questions
For the original poster, the usdm R and jdm R's 0-60 times should only be within a tenth of a second of eachother. Sorry I can't be more specific.

I guess the USDM are quicker because of the longer final drive. We JDM/EUDM drivers need the 3rd hear to hit 60 miles...
Who cares ? Why should that be important ? That`s something different. I have no answer.

hmm cant believe u guys are taking this little quesiton so serious. and yes , dude in london u really dont have that much road to race around wit.
as a forum user and a honda driver we should be helping each other out as much as we can and not talk each other down and taking the ****. i understand that some people might ask silly questions but think back, everyone had to start asking questions at one point. nobody is perfect.
if u dont like to answer questions because u think its too easy for u then ignore it and go to other topics.
this is just my point of view of the honda forums so far.

He does have a good point. If a question is BS, just don't respond.
It's a good thing I watched "About a Boy". Now I know what "taking the ****" is.
