Yea, it's not really a recommended jack point, but it works. It sees no sustained weight anyways, the jack stands do.

I drain the coolant because I remove the lower radiator hose. I suspose you don't have to, but I do it because I had to (I was in the middle of a mini-me) Also, it may be easier for "new" people to locate everything that way. it's also easier when putting the tranny back in.

Yea, another not needed step. I like to have room and removing the distributor provides it. I better revise some steps to "OPTIONAL."

At the same time I was doing a mini-me as well, so it may not apply to everyone.
