Default 89 CRX Si wiring problems need help.

I have an 89 CRX Si. I bought a while back but it was missing the engine harness.
So I purchased what was believed to be a 89 Si engine harenss.

Everything looks ok. MY question is.. where the wire harness comes
past the timing belt side i have 2 plugs ( a green one for the resistor box ) and a
Square one. But on my car i have the resistor box and a round plug

So i have a square on my engine harness and a round on the firewall.
This is on the drivers side where the resister box resides..

Now the square and round plug seem to be the same ( same wire colors )
just a diff style plug. Can I just repin the right style plug or do I have the
wrong harness and it wont work at all ( hoping I can just repin the one plug )
since I just finished this harness for my OBD1 GSR Swap

Ive Included 2 pictures to help out with what im talking about.

Any Help would be greatly apreciated

1989 CRX Si
1989 CRX Si Engine Harness supposely ? ?

the green plug is for the injector box and the other portion is for the alt, iat, brake fluid level ind ect on the left side of the car mine is also round as yours is in the engine bay so your harness might be off an Integra or something that also uses and injector resistor box but its not an si or hf series and that is what you need.

my 91 dx has a round plug so you know it isnt from that. i think fastlx-i might be right in guessing that it could be from a teggy. try posting the pic in their forum and see if they know anything. 89teg's have pretty much the same wiring as the si's but some connectors could be different.

I sure hope its not from a teg.. The guy specifically told me it was a CRX Si
and he thought a 91.. I wonder if I re pin the plug to fit right if it will work.

It would suck to loose all my time in making this harness the right way for the GSR because someone gave me the wrong harness

what you have is 88 Si harness - you can de-pin the square connector and put the round connector on the harness - just make sure the wire colors match on both sides of the connector - the square 88 connector has less wires since the 88 Si didn't have a fast idle control valve - the chassis harness side will have a darker blue wire that isn't used

Another thing that will need to be done - on the pass. side shock tower big round plug.

In your engine harnessm besides all other wires, it will have a Red/yel wire next to Red/white wire. The 6-wire plug next to the round plug will have Blue/yellow next to Blue/green wires. These two pairs will need to be swapped over:

Blue/yell swaps places with Red/yellow
Blue/green swaps places with Red/white.

You'll see on the car side of the plugs, there will be wiires of the matching colors, so you'll be able to verify it.

and yeah - jersey shore rules!
