Tachometer Problems Help
Now before I start jumping into point fingers I got a question. I used to have a 99 Si cluster in my 99 hatch but sense then I have sold the cluster and now have a dx cluster. I bought a 3911 autometer tach off a ht member but the red button seem to be missing or broken, now I tried to install it so I looked up the directions

Display Button: Depressing red
button activates pointer to display
RPM while setting or verifying
shift-point.
1. Push and hold red button. Pointer will display the
tachometer's shift-point.
2. To set your desired shift-point, continue depressing
the red button, then push and turn the Shift-Set ****
until the pointer reaches the desired RPM.
3. To double check, push red set button-- pointer will
indicate your shift-point.
4. During normal tachometer operation, the Shift-lite
will activate at the exact same RPM that the pointer
indicates when red set button is depressed.
So if the red button is broken I can't set it hope you can help before I point fingers
here some pictures might help.

I'm not going to say who sold it until I figure out if I'm right or not but he said

Not necessarily. The red button just pushes in to actuate the tach setting mode. If you can push in the same area where the red button is (as in it actually goes in), then I don't see why you would have a problem other than cosmetic
I had the same problem on mine thats why I got it for like 30$. The easiest thing to do is get something small that is metal like a cotter pin or allen key and stick it in the hole where the red botton goes. That should do the trick> good luck
