A good alternative is using something like a motorcycle battery. My buddy uses a battery out of a Harley in his CRX. Couldn't tell you off hand how much power it gives out.

Hmm. I put a Braille battery in my ITR. It came with everything I needed. No problems at all.

Did you use the spacers provided with the battery? If so, it should have mounted correctly. If you are still having problems, please call our office and we can discuss some mounting options.
Or, feel free to email me personally at:
blake@brailleauto.com

Please include photos of the problem.

Thanks,
Blake Fuller

Im installing one of those this weekend:

Hawker G-13 at http://surplusev.com/
$60.00 with terminals. ~13lbs, can lay on its side.

Im using a 1.5"x.125" strip of aluminum and a hammer to make a custom mounting bracket... I'll post pics when its done.

Oh yeah, the downsides to the Hawker are that you cant go for extended periods of time running the accessories with the car off...which I never do. The braille is probably a similar type of battery.

To answer your questions, I have uploaded a very informative spec sheet and battery guide for you reading pleasure.

Included in the document is:

Thanks Blake,

If anyone has trouble with that file, you might have to stick ".pdf" on the end of it to get it to open.

I have a general question about these gel batteries... Is there a need for the traditional plastic tray, like for traditional water batteries?

This question is for blake (ppihctyper). Is there a way that braille can make a custom battery tie down kit. I hate using the stock one or buying any other aftermarket one cause of logos and crap that they put on them. Thanks
