Emission Test Results
I just got my car inspected, here are the results:
NOx Standard = 725 Reading = 135
HC Standard = 89 Reading = 89
CO% Standard = 0.50 Reading = 0.21
CO2% Reading = 14.8
O2% Reading = 0.1
I searched for old topics about this, but couldn't find any. I swear some other people posted their emissions results too.. If you have your emissions results, please post them. I would like to compare them to mine.. Especially the HC result since it was right on the money. One more digit, and I may have failed.
Any particular way to get the HC down a bit?
My mods are only AEM CAI, Mugen Header, Mugen Exhaust..
<edit> oh... and my timing is advanced to around 17.5 degrees <end edit>

A way to get reading down is to "flush" your exhaust system before you go it. Hit VTEC a few miles before you get to the testing.
Its a USDM Header and Exhaust and stock cat...
I had to wait about 15 - 20 minutes in line before getting in.. But I made sure to keep my engine on so that cat stays nice and toasty.
Since they do testing on a dyno now, I thought that 'flushing' the system was less of an issue.

I suggested "flushing," because one guy at the dyno (for HP, not emissions) got on his VTEC on his run and all this black crap shooting out. I know that they test the emissions at low rpm (3,000 rpm ?), but still gunk could been coming out, even at low rpm.
btw, I think there was an advertisement on SCC a few months ago that had some bottled up emission reducer. I don't know if that would work or not... maybe some members can chime in also.
