Suspension troubles
I have a 1992 civic EX 4door, and something gave in my suspension today. The car will periodically pull hard to the right (especially over bumps), there is more resistance then normal when turning the car right, steering is shaky and erratic, Kind of jerks around in your hand. when turning wheel at rest it makes a clicking noise that it didn't used to make. when coming into my driveway, it made a THUNK from the drivers side front. inspected shock, no oil leaking so i don't think it's blown, power steering fluid is topped up perfectly, anyone have any ideas what my problem is ( awesome how it had to happen on a friday night after the honda garage closed up so I have to wait till monday). I have stock suspension, with 16" rims.
Check the upper and lower ball joints and the rod ends. The best way to do this is jack the car up and place a jack stands under the front control arms. Let the weight off the jack so the car rests on the stands. Move the wheels back and forth / up and down, etc. If something is loose you'll feel it............
