Default H23 Vtec to SH tranny??

Ok, I have a blown SH motor... and I have a guy telling me that I can put an H23 Vtec directly onto the transmission of my SH... I didn't ask him if the ATTS would work, but I wouldn't care. So... does it bolt on? Or does it take modifications?

i didnt know the h23 vtec came with a non auto tranny. anyway to use a non atts tranny on the atts block you need to get eh non atts halfshaft, and maybe axles as well(Im not sure about the specifics), and then arbicate a plate ont eh block to bolt the halfshaft to teh block.

No, it won't work. The SH block has holes built into the block and tapped for the ATTS unit. The base and H23 blocks won't have those there.

All I need to know now really is if the H23 has a different configuration than the H23 non-vtec...

This guy from a japanese exclusive importer is telling me that the non-vtec engine will not hook up to my SH but the vtec different just like my SH h22 is different than a regular h22... sorta like the Type S is different from the regular JDM h22...

If so, is he right? that they are different just like the Type S? If so, is it still not possible to hook it up to my H22a SH tranny?

A real type-s motor will bolt up to an SH tranny.

An SH tranny will not bolt up to a JDM H23A VTEC without fabrication...search it's been covered
