SCCA Classes (Spefically a CRX HF)
I have easily found guidelines about mods you can do to a car and what class it would be in (i.e. Stock, STS, SP, etc). But I am unsure about same model car engine swaps.
If I put a 90 CRX Si engine in a 89 CRX HF could I still run in stock class (D-Stock I think it would be)? Assuming I followed the others rules of Stock by only upgrading the pads and shocks on the car.
Another question would be if I would be allowed to swap other parts from the Si on the car. Maybe the brakes, springs, etc? The main goal is to remain in Stock class. With all the mods allowed in SP I think it would be me in a league far past my budget of having a CRX with a few bolt-ons.

No you would have to upgrade everything that came on the SI package including the sunroof to be leagal is stock class, update backdate rules do not apply in stock at all.
In stock all you can change is what is listed, shocks, catback, front sway bar, tires, nothing else.

You go to C-Street Prepared if the parts you combine are on the same line in the rulebook. This is actually the popular way to go to CSP in a CRX, lightest body with strongest engine.
