Default GSR all motor

I have sat here the past few nights searching and reading about all motor set ups on a GSR but i would still like some intput. I need to get ordering things soon. I was thinking about Skunk 2 stage 2 cams, skunk2 valvetrain, ITR oversized pistons, maybe change the rods (need to know a good brand to go with), Apexi VAFC II, and a header (also need to know a good one). I already have intake, cat back exhaust, 7 lbs, flywheel, ACT clutch with extreme pressure plate, and ITR tranny. I know that im going to need a new head gasket and things of that sort also probably a fuel system upgrade. I want to try and stay in the 3K range though after everything is said and done. The car also will be driven as an everyday driver so it needs to be reliable. anyone that can make a list of things to check out and things of that sort would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Take a look at hondata instead of the VFAC.

Eagle and Crower are good makers of rods.

Look into ARP studs and bolts

You may need a fuel system upgrade, but maybe not, not sure where your planning on going...

If you plan on doing all of this, and doing it right i think 3k is a little low, i think rods alone are 700-800 bucks.

DC header seem to be what everyone goes with, but i hear lots of welds crack on those, dont know for myself though since i dont have one :D

Eagle rods are like $350. You can build a decent set-up for 3k. You will need a fuel system upgrade of some sort if you want it right. When you have mild upgrades the duty cycle of the stock injectors has to be around 95% or higher. Stock fuel pump will probably be having trouble keeping up after 200hp. Too much damn stuff to list. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

cheap build = P30 pistons (raise compression more than JDM or USDM ITR's) or if you wanna go crazy compression use CTR's, but those might run a little hot even w/ the squirters... they'll come out 12.3:1 c/r~ish. then i'd use some CTR/00-01 ITR cams w/ ITR springs + retainers. do some port work and get an AEBS mani or similar one. run an ITR or bigger TB. get some ARP rod bolts and get that thing revin to 8600-9000. run a chipped p28 w/ a hondata s200 (get someone who knows how to tune it, and have them tune it). that should be a decently cheap build that'll throw down some really nice power. header selection is something i can't advise you on, search the allmotor forums for that.

the only upgrade i'd recommend from the above would be toda b cams and valvesprings (or s2s2's.)

if you're looking for aftermarket rods, eagles are good and they start around 400.
