Any R owners have the US Recaro SRDs?
I have heard both good and bad things about them, but would like to hear from seat owners.. Specifically black seat owners... Does the material wrinkle easily? Does it fade? Does it make little ***** of thread?
i have two recaro SRD front seats....its "NICE" man....I got it used from someone who had it for 6 months...but it looks like it was brand new when i saw it. Besidez that, they're pretty comfee too....i like it a lot...probably the only mod on my car that i don't regret.
I'm in the Market (soon hopefully) for either the Red SRD's or JDM Recaro's, where is the most reasonably priced place to get SRD's? I haven't had much luck looking locally.
Thanks for any info.

I have the SRD seat in my Si and will be taking it out of that car and installing it my Type R which is due here in the next couple of days.
The seat is black... first off, this is a very comfortable seat and very grippy for spirited driving. I've had no wrinkle or fading of the material, but the seat is only 8 months old. My car is also tinted which may cut down on the sun exposure. The material used to cover the seat leaves a lot to be desired, though. It is comfortable and durable, but it picks up lint and little ***** of threads. Also, I have a cat and the cat fur seems to weave itself into the fabric and the only way to get it out has been to pick at it while running the vacuum to suck up the fur once you get it dislodged with your fingernails by lightly scratching it. Sort of a weird material to use to cover this great seat, but the material itself is very comfy.
I would say this is the best investment someone who is serious about driving any car well can make. I plan to keep moving the seat from car to car when/if I ever decide to sell the R. All it takes is buying another bracket($65) to match the new car. go for it... you won't be sorry.
If anyone wants info of a place to purchase these seats at a decent price, email me... kkim@hawaiian.net
forgot to mention, I'm 5'7", 160lbs. sort of snug, but that's why I bought the seat. I got used to it after a few weeks. now I wouldn't have it any other way.

I had them in my R for a short time. I am 6' around 145lbs, and found them to be a little too snug in the hips/legs for everyday driving. Also, as mentioned above, the fabric used in the seats attracts lint-fuzz-dirt like a damn magnet! And once its on the seat it's a absolute pain to get back off!
