damn thas a wierd intake manifold, the brake booster is different too. and its got power steering. is it carbd? swap a b16 and its an SiR almost

Cars here in the states must meet US regulations. Those imported from other countries are not legal because they dont meet those regulations. There are ways around it, but if its RHD...odds of you getting in trouble are wayyyyy higher.
The u.s. DOT crushes cars that are found to be driven on u.s. roads from other countries that dont meet specs.

Out of interest and assuming that you know, does that apply for foreign nationals moving to live in the USA and wanting to import their own cars?

I've never seen or heard of custom hot rod guys get their cars impounded and crushed, nor anyone for that matter. It's just a roof, and can't affect structural integrity any worse than a sunroof.
